2 Housing your ferret.

Ferrets do need a lot of space to play and sleep, a normal rabbit hutch is not very suitable for your ferret,

for a few extra pounds, you can buy a small shed from your local DIY store.

This will provide the extra space and shelter that they need during the cold season.

Through the summer months always make sure that your ferret house isn't in any direct sunlight as this can be fatal to your

ferret,so choose your position wisely.

Bigger is always best, when it comes to prviding shelter for your ferret.

Here are a few pictures of other ferret owners

accommodation that they have provided for their ferrets.

There are also plenty of indoor hutches available

If you shop around in your area or check online.

These outdoor hutches are just to give you a rough idea when looking for the correct hutch.

Look around for out door runs, ferrets love nothing better than getting out of their accommodation for a good run around.

For a few extra pounds and a visit to a diy shop, you can buy a shed and add your own extension.

Here are a couple of bog standard sheds that have been converted with extensions added for a little more space for the ferret to play in.

Whatever the size of shed or hutch that you choose.

Always make sure that you have a lot of contact with your ferret daily, and make sure they always have plenty of "out time"
